Finding God in Everyday Moments:
Stillness isn’t just about being silent.
It’s about being fully present.
Fully aware.
Fully alive to the sacred whispers happening all around me.
Stillness is in the moment.
It’s the fly that buzzes around me just as I’m about to make a bad decision —
a nudge from Spirit saying, Pause. Listen. Be still.
It’s recognizing the random itching of my hands —
a signal that there’s a journal entry I need to write,
or a decision I should pray over before signing anything.
It’s sitting with my dreams — both beautiful and unsettling —
and asking earnestly:
“God, what are You showing me?”
Because conversation with God is never a monologue.
Stillness appears when someone tries to pressure me into something that doesn’t sit right with my spirit.
Instead of reacting, I pause.
I breathe.
I ask: “Holy Spirit, guide me. What do You say?”
Stillness lives in kindness:
a word to a stranger,
a smile to someone struggling,
a listening ear – time,
a hand extended even to those hard to love.
Finding God in Everyday Moments
It’s noticing the small signs:
the butterfly crossing my path,
the feather floating down before me,
the coin appearing in unexpected places —
Spirit whispering:
“I’m here. I’m speaking. Are you listening?”
It’s the flickering light,
the sudden nudge,
the random stranger’s words —
holding answers to questions I didn’t even know I asked.
Stillness compels us to reach out —
to the hurting, the broken, the unseen —
and in doing so, we become vessels for God’s compassion.
Stillness also demands honesty with ourselves.
It’s realising when I keep attracting the same toxicity or drama into my life —
different faces, same cycles.
It’s recognizing that the “fix” isn’t for others —
it’s a sacred call to look within and ask:
“God, what is the lesson here for me?”
It’s noticing repeated bad financial decisions and daring to ask:
“What wound is driving this pattern?”
It’s humbly whispering:
“Why am I so broken? How do I fix me, so that I no longer bleed on others?”
Stillness teaches that true healing never begins with blame —
it begins by inviting God into the broken places.
Because if I cannot fix it, who else can?
We must seek God first.
We must surrender.
We must say:
“I need You, Lord. Help me.”
“I can’t do this without You.”
God honours free will —
He will not force His way into hearts uninvited.
But when we invite Him —
when we say yes with our whole being —
He rushes in with the full force of Heaven’s love.
As I draw nearer to Him,
I learn to love myself — not with pride, but with holy acceptance.
I learn to love and accept others.
I stand taller because God stands with me.
I stop settling for less because I finally know my worth.
Fear dissipates.
Faith takes root.
Panic is overridden by peace.
Responses become rooted in love, not anger.
Decisions flow from wisdom, not impulse.
Everything…
how I treat my body,
how I speak,
how I live — becomes an act of worship.
And in that sacred exchange, God shows up in miraculous ways.
The peace which surpasses all understanding
becomes not just something I read about — it becomes who I am.
I become one with Him.
I revert to Source — the Source who never left me.
🕊️ And in Stillness, I remember:
I was never abandoned.
I was always being led home.
