🌿Even Manna Had to Be Gathered: A Message for the One Who’s Waiting

We often ask God for healing, strength, patience, wisdom, or financial breakthrough.  And then we wait.  We sit – often for months or years, by the roadside of our lives, expecting the heavens to split open and drop the answer into our laps.  But what if the waiting is not the pause before the blessing?  What if the waiting is the work?

When enough time passes, we end up angry and doubtful — because we believe the answers are not coming.  We start to think God has forgotten about us.  That maybe He doesn’t care.  But often, if we would only listen more closely — or take the action our spirit keeps nudging us to take — therein lie our answers.  We miss it because we’re too busy, or maybe even too tired… or too conditioned…to tune in and hear Spirit clearly.

Have we been conditioned to expect things to be done for us — when all along, God is trying to work through us?
Have we become so busy, so immersed in noise, that we no longer notice — or realise — when He’s speaking?
How often do we miss His voice, His direction, His guidance?

What does noise look like in your life?  Excessive scrolling?  TV?  Drama — at home, at work, with friends or family?

Imagine the magic that begins to unfold when we create space.  When we quiet the noise.  That’s when we begin to hear.  To receive.  To recognise the voice of God.  That’s when the downloads come.  The direction.  The nudge.  The solution.

There are no coincidences in life.  God is too meticulous, too intentional, too articulate for that.  So consider this: maybe there’s a reason for the very challenge you’re facing right now.  Maybe the answer is to dig deeper.  To seek more.

Maybe you’ve strayed far from God.  Maybe you’ve wandered away from your calling.  Maybe you’ve been leaning on your own understanding — and God, in His all-knowing, all-seeing wisdom, can see the crash before you can.

He sees that you’re a train with no brakes, heading down the wrong track — fast.  And the problems, the delays, the closed doors?  They might just be the brakes.  The lifeline.  The mercy He’s throwing your way.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” — Matthew 7:7–8

Here’s the truth many of us wrestle with: when we ask God for healing, He doesn’t simply drop healing onto our lap.  When we ask for strength, He doesn’t make us feel stronger overnight.  When we ask for wisdom, He doesn’t pour it into our minds like water into a cup.

Instead, He gives us the conditions that build those attributes.

He gives us the trial that forces us to dig deeper.
He gives us the walk through the wilderness.
He gives us the lonely nights, the detox symptoms, the food sensitivities — the moments where you can’t explain to others what’s happening inside your body or your soul.

But He does not leave us there.
He walks with us through the wilderness.  He comforts, convicts, strengthens, and sustains.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”  — Isaiah 43:2

“God, I asked You to heal me.”  We cry out in distress and despair.  And maybe we sit back… or complain… or pray… or ask others to pray for and with us.

But is that enough action?
Is that enough movement for the mountain to shift?
Is that obedience — or just hope dressed up as passivity?

Because faith without works is still… faith, yes — but it is also incomplete.
Healing sometimes asks for more than belief.  It asks for alignment.  For agreement.  For us to actively participate in the process we begged God to begin.

“Child,” He says, “I am. But the healing is happening in layers.

With each layer, you are becoming the answer you prayed for.
With each layer, your faith is getting stronger.
With each revelation, your testimony is building.

And as your testimonies build, your empire becomes the lighthouse — a beacon for others to return to the Almighty.  For many have strayed.

The system is designed to turn us further and further away from Source.
But there is a silent nudge within… a compass placed by God to show us the way back.
And sometimes, that compass is the adversity we face.

We often forget: even when God sent manna from heaven, the people had to get up and gather it.  It didn’t fall into their mouths.

Blessings require movement.  Obedience.  Action.

So if you’re sitting, still waiting for it to just “go away” or to suddenly feel better, I lovingly say to you:

Get up.  Gather.  Be still.  Be mindful.  Take action.  Keep searching.

God’s path is not for quitters.  And as you draw closer to Him, He avails Himself to you.

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.” — John 14:16 (ESV)

Expect answers from God — but remember, you will hear them in the stillness of your mind and the quiet of your environment.

Reflect on this scripture:  “To whom much is given, much will be required.” — Luke 12:48 (NKJV)

The journey might look like changing your diet.  Adjusting your mindset. Cutting off what inflames you.  Learning what your body responds to.  Listening closely to what Spirit is showing you through your symptoms.

But it might also look like healing your finances — becoming more conscious of your spending, setting boundaries with those who drain your resources, releasing the guilt of saying “no,” and trusting that provision doesn’t always come the way we expect it.

Healing is not just physical.
It’s financial.  Emotional.  Mental.  Spiritual.
It’s layered.  It’s personal.  It’s sacred.

You are not cursed.  You are not forgotten.  You are not being punished.

You are being refined.  You are being rebuilt.
But you must meet God halfway.

And in this sacred process — even before the answers come — give thanks.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Let perseverance finish its work (James 1:4), so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

In learning how to heal myself, I’ve come to realise something sacred: our awakening is never for us alone.  As I rise, I am able to teach others how to rise too.  As I heal, I become a vessel through which others learn how to begin their own healing.

That is one of the ways God expands our territory.  It is the spirit of the prayer of Jabez:  “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” — 1 Chronicles 4:10

Know this — God is in the breath you breathe.  Be aware of that always.  Every breath is a reminder: He is present.

Because in the end, when your healing comes — and it will — you won’t just say, “God healed me.”
You’ll say with conviction:
“God taught me how to listen.  How to move.  How to show up.  How to gather.  And through the process, I became more than healed.
I became whole.”
